Restaurant Manners

When you go to a restaurant, you should know the etiquettes. If you don’t behave properly at a
restaurant, the fun of eating will be spoiled and you will be a subject of ridicule.

  • Don’t phone and ask your girlfriend or boyfriend to reach a particular restaurant and that you will catch up there.
    •  If you want to go to a restaurant, go together with your girlfriend or boyfriend.
    •  It is better to book a table before going to a restaurant.
    •  When you reach a restaurant, don’t rush for the empty table. Wait for the waiter to show you the table.
    •  If you don’t like the table, ask the waiter politely to give another table.
    •  Don’t place an order for the food of your choice before reaching a restaurant. Ask what your girlfriend’s or boyfriend’s choice is.
    •  Don’t just order food of your choice only. Insist that your girlfriend or boyfriend orders the food of her or his choice.
    •  Confirm with your girlfriend or boyfriend before ordering the food.
    •  Don’t speak loudly and argue with your friend at a restaurant.
    • To call a waiter, say, ‘Excuse me’ politely or lift your hand gently.
    •  If anything falls, call the waiter instead of picking it up yourself.
    •  If anything goes wrong, don’t scold your girlfriend or boyfriend at the top of your voice.
    •  Don’t say anything to the waiter if the food is not good.
    •  Don’t sit for hours at a restaurant.
    •  Tip the waiter after clearing your bill.
